Then again I should not be surprise.
Two years ago kids were given back to bio mom after living two years with maternal grandfather and his wife. Nice people. Material grandmother in her off balance mental state tried to get custody could not so help bio mom get kids back. It was nastsy due to her HATING her xhusband.
After the kids were returned to bio mom maternal grandmother did all she could do to prevent the kids from see maternal grandfather and his wife. All were invited to a church pageant after which oldest gd ran up and hugged her Poppa. Maternal grandmother left and when out to her car. I was outside the church waiting to pick up the girls saw her come out in a confused state try to open several cars finally find her car and get into it. I just figured it was her "meds" making her seem confused.
Next day she disappears. Ten days later she returned home unseen and kills herself with pills. She his under the basement stsis under boxes. Three days later she is found when the smell takes over the apartment.
Bio mom told gd's about the suicide. I never knew what she told them until last night. Oldest gd was camping out on the bed room floor with her dad, sister and the dog. I am in the bed in the closest about 10 feet away. We are all talking. GD says I have a secret that I will get in trouble for telling. OMG words no one wants to hear since sexusl abuse is the first thing that cones to mind. He Dad assured her she would not get in trouble.
" You remember when Nazzy disappeared and died? The day before we had our pageant and I ran up and hugged Poppa afterward since I knew he missed me. I thought Nazzy could be brave enough to handle it. Mommy says she was hurt so bad she ran out to the car crying and then disappeared the next day then came home to die. I didn't mean to hurt her that bad."
WTF. who the tell would blame a kid. Thank god she trusted us enough to finally open up. I am sure her counselor is going to have a field day with this one.

I mean 7 yr old gd pisses me off to the max and then some, but I wouldn't go that far.
Her great aunt passed away this past April. So we sat down and talked about it, answered her questions the best I could,etc. Papa took her to visitation. She still brings up the aunt she only saw a few times but she is allowed to talk about her,etc. Aunt died from age and health.
Glad to know they have you and yours to help provide some stability and common sense to their crazy world. Just keep the communication lines open for her!
