We have no idea what he looks like, and unfortunately he lives just 20 minutes from us. Pinky's at the police station now and had better be throwing the book at him. We can't, because there's just no proof. Apparently three other women have restraining orders against him for similar actions. Why can't women choose better men? Jeeeze!
I'm just so sleepy from being up half the night. I'm hoping to take a nap after I finish some work, so I'll be at least a little awake for the next round of interrogations.
Needless to say, my thoughts about Pinky and her boyfriend are not very Christian right now. They're more in line with something King David would pray about his enemies. :-)
For every call that is made CPS has your name on file from this call and a check mark goes on you and your husband.
You already have legal custody, so the only time this would make a problem is with Adoption. Can you get a picture of the guy from Pinky and also go down to the court house for an OOP and to show the kids so they know NOT to go near this guy and to let you know if they see him near?
So sorry you have to go through ths. I hope you get some rest.
The investigator was supposed to be here at 3:30 and we're still waiting. We can't order dinner. I'm certainly not cooking - of all days to have nonstop work (thank GOD) it had to be the one where I got about two hours' sleep. The kids are antsy, the eldest cancelled her track meet so she could be here -- and all Pinky is worried about is if the kids will be mad at her!
They said that if they close out the case it will stay in their files for three years, then be expunged. I hope that's true, but our lawyer said that you just never know when child protective services gets involved.
I have no idea what to expect, and my husband and I are both exhausted. All this because some freak wanted to get back at Pinky for something. Her brothers are beyond furious because they, too, were accused of stuff they don't do.
At least I ran it all by a lawyer first, so...well, it's all in God's hands now and He can handle it better than we can, that's for sure :-)
I just hope He handles that evil #%$$ who did this to us.
HOWEVER, she did warn us that if he's crazy enough to make another accusation, say, six months from now, they'll have to open another case. She is every bit as frustrated as we are, because she has to chase after these fraudulent cases. (They're mostly between ex-spouses seeking custody.) The REAL abused kids can be overlooked as caseworkers sift through these nutcases.
Unbelievable. We feel violated, I'm sure the kids do, too, but at least it's OVER! Maybe tonight we'll get some good sleep, LOL!
Pinky has the better case, because she can get him on everything from harassment to assault. It just depends if she has enough brainpower left to follow through.
Try to get Pinky to get you a picture for the safty of the kids. CPS might be gone, but he's still out there for now.
Best wishes!
