Just when I'm feeling like there is a light, possibly, in some small way - at the end of the tunnel concerning my situation with my GS, my 20 yo daughter tells me she's pregnant. Not married; living at home; not supporting herself; BF has a job but doesn't seem to know how to manage any money. It's never ending worries and stress. If it's not a job, it's a family situation, or a financial crisis, or a death or another birth. It just keeps on comin'. All we can do is try to take one day at a time and minimize the damages and look to God to help get us through.
Blessings, my friend!
I've also learned to pare back just about everything to keep my sanity. We declared a moratorium on extravagant birthday parties. From now on it's just uncles, aunts, and cousins at our house for a couple of hours. No more Chuck E Cheese, BounceU, etc.
Even Christmas is going to be simpler this year. No adult presents - just the kids.
Wherever we can shave an hour off, wherever we can make a trip to the store accomplish more than one thing, we do it. I cook up casseroles on the weekend and freeze them so we don't have to order out as much.
Any way we can reduce stress is a good thing. There's enough of it being thrown at us even when we aren't responsible! LOL
I had a patch of about 2 months where nothing major went wrong and I was beginning to relax a little - WRONG!!!
ROFL!! (well, CMEOROFL) (crying my eyes out rolling on floor laughing) :P
