Congrats...on new grandbaby
I call him my stepson but he is the son of my husband's 1st wife who passed away. His father was never in his life and my hubby was the only father he ever knew.So when we married he was part of the package.I love him just like my own, to me he is mine as well as his son,he calls me "Mom".
I feel like that God has sent me this child not to take the place of the gd that I lost but to help heal the pain in my heart of loseing her.It seems as if just when my world is shattered HE sends me something/someone to help put it all back together again.
Congratulations on your new gbaby! :)
We are taking her side on this because we agree that he is very immature and needs to GROW UP!! This child looks just like him and she is not the type of girl who would sleeps around. She is very level headed and takes perfect care of her baby. You can just see the love in her eyes when she holds her son.We told her that we would do everything we can to help her with him.She is going for a job interveiw on Monday and we have volunteered to watch the baby for her.If she gets the job we are going to baby sit for her and not charge her anything.I know how hard it is to be a single mother trying to work and having to pay a lot out to a baby sitter and pay all the bills too. This will give us a chance to spend all the time we want with the baby and help her at the same time.
Step son has gone back to where he lives and this may sound mean but we hope he stays there! We love him but he has really disappionted us this time. When it comes to our grandchildren or our children we will choose the grands every time because they need someone to stand up for them when they can't!!!
I hope everything works out!
I'm sorry your son is not stepping up to the plate. I hope she does follow through and hold him responsible for child support. Even if he's not working, hopefully it will help him to realize that responsibility comes with actions.
You are so great to offer to help the girl. I'm sure she appreciates it more than you'll ever know. Where are her parents in all of this?
God Bless you!
