June 2nd it will be 2 yrs that I have had my grandson who now we adopted. I had worked during that time. When my grandson started getting therapy and I knew that I better take intermittent family medical leave. I did, and it was granted.
The last several months they had added even more therapy and Regional Center told me I had to be present during all therapy and I have been so burnt out mentally and physically. I am always behind at work I'm tired most of the time. Now the therapy they added would be for at least 4 days per week. My husband and I figured that I better take a Leave without pay for awhile until this non profit attorneys fight to have it where I don't have to take off that much and have most of the therapies done at the Preschool he is at. Anyways, last week the manager and the Director called me into their office to do my yearly job review/assessment. While I am trying to read it the one manager is blowing smoke up my butt how well I was handling the new software systems they made use start using...bluh, bluh , bluh. I was so tired that day the other girl in the office was off and I was doing two jobs. I signed it and just wanted to go home because it was the end of the day. I re-read it at home and it stated "Needs improvement in the attendance area", and then the manager wrote, stuff like I had many personal problems and family issues during last year however; he thought that I would be improving next year..I couldn't believe what I was reading. I never said it was going to improve in fact right there I told them that they added more therapy. But they didn't want to hear it. I called our CSEA (employee association President) because I wanted to ask him how I do a Leave without pay for the next fiscal year then, I told him about the review. He told me to do a rebuttal so they could attach it to the review. However; I read that it was illegal for a company, employer, etc. to retaliate with a bad review when it was an approved family medical leave. I am so tired of getting pushed around for doing the right thing, like DCFS(who didn't help us), Regional Center (for making me be at every therapy session which means you have to quite your job) and now my employer is picking on me. I did write a rebuttal letter and I am now am rethinking; should I take the Leave without pay or just do a short leave without pay until I find out if I could have most of therapy at daycare? I am all screwed up. Was my employer laying the ground work to fire me?
I know it may sound petty however; but these managers and Director Kick back hardly do anything the other girl and I work our butts off. They do something's that I know isn't right like taking off and not putting into the systemas being absent, go out to lunch with Vendors (we are government workers) I even think they may even use things for their personal use. I am so sick of being dumped on....I checked the internet and yes it is wrong however; what would be the point for me to get a lawyer?
I need to regroup, I just can't think well due to all the pressures for work and taking care of my grandson and my family...

It did make me realize that the selfishness of the bios has a reach that's waaaay beyond the obvious. They destroy just about everything in everyone else's lives, don't they?
I am so sorry you are having to deal with this~ SaraBT is right...the bios have no idea the pure hell their selfishness causes
The last time I spoke with son I told him that I was doing lots of yard work and may need his help digging large holes for new Almond tree along with other heavy duty work. When I take a break from work he better help!! He said he would, however my husband doesn't even want him here because he and the bio mom did to us.
I on the other hand would like some help! I'm trying to setup my large garden so I can, freeze and can as much fruit and veggies as I can to see how much I can lower our food budget.
I'm also ticked off with my bosses and the place that is putting me in a position that I have to quite my job. I would rather work and save more for my retirement that will be down the road.
