This community is dedicated to grandparents who are the primary caregivers of their grandchildren. In cases where the parents are not willing or able to provide adequate care for their children, grandparents may take on the role of primary caregivers. Tomorrow will be the last day of school for my GD's. GD1 (grade 7) was on honor roll all year and also was accepted into the National Jr. Honor Society. GD2 (grade 1) rounded out the year by being student of the month! I'm so proud of each for their hard work and excited they will have summer starting in a few days.
I took GS off of all breathing treatments a few weeks back. He is a different little guy. Even DC is coming to me, telling me how his personality is coming out and I don't have the fits at home like I did when he was on the breathing treatments everyday twice a day. I know he has allergies and found a natural allergy elixir that works.
Next week we were to have CPS behind us, but they failed to get our finger printing done in time, so we have to move the adoption date for June or July, still don't know which month due to the courts calendar and printing. I'm kind of angrey with my CW for not getting this done back in Nov, Dec or Jan knowing we are adopting them. I guess there is nothing we can do but wait!

It is awful that the adoption is delayed again but it will happen!!! Hang in there.
What kind of treatment are you using for your grandson? You can email the info if you would rather not post it. I'm glad the kids are settling in.
I'm sorry you have to deal with the delays. We had the same thing happen with us twice. They didn't have their paperwork done 1 time, and the other time they didn't track down Bio Mom either checking the hospitals or by posting in the newspaper.
At least you didn't have to wait as long as we did in between....it would be 5-6 months to set new court dates here.
Daisy, I'm told finger prints are sent to the FBI and they come back when the FBI is ready. My lawyer said I need to be friends with CPS and that is what I'm doing. Still doesn't disappoint me since this should have been done and yesterday was suppose to be our Gotcha day!
