With the following message...
Just wanted to let you know that Kristi called me yesterday and I advised her that I could not answer any of her questions as it was a conflict of interest. I advised her that she had a right to hire her own attorney to have her legal questions answered. Just wanted you to know that she contacted me and what I told her.

What do you think she's up to?
redheadfrog
She's been asking to take Alicia to live with her in Ohio. She said they're doing fine and raising another child and now, after 2 years, she wants her back. She has not even visited! My gd only knows her from phone calls.
SaraBT
And she calls the wrong lawyer, too. HAHA

Can you convince her of the damage to your bc if she makes a change again? Sometimes always think about what they want and ignore the consequences to the children. Hopefully there is a peaceful solution.

I told her she needed to build a relationship before we could even consider a change since she hasn't even seen her. She yelled at me and said that's crazy because she is her mother. I said how could you think gd wouldn't have Amit and cry for hours. Dd said shed have to deal with it! I almost lost my temper. I told her gd is not a dog that can just be rehomed! She hung up on me.

SaraBT, she doesn't have a lawyer. She thought ours would talk to her. She is now saying we only had 90-day guardianship. To which I reminded her that that was an emergency order before we went to court. We were found to be de facto guardians since gd has been in our care since birth, physically and financially.

And can't be rehomed.

Rehomed! Some of these 'parents' also want to adopt (or buy) a dog. Do you suppose they see them all the same - property. I believe my gd's parents see her as their 'eye candy' - look how cute. Ugh.
redheadfrog
JanAndRob, yes! I hear she's my daughter all the time! SAD! I cannot believe after 2years, nows she's her daughter.
