Grandparents Raising Children Support Group
This community is dedicated to grandparents who are the primary caregivers of their grandchildren. In cases where the parents are not willing or able to provide adequate care for their children, grandparents may take on the role of primary caregivers. Join the support group to find support, share your experience, and get advice from other members.
my GS is 6 we have had him since her was 11 months. He know mom and dad she knows we are GM and GP, but it will tell you in a heart beat that WE are his parents.
He will tell you a parent is a person that loves you as much as your mom and dad and takes care of you the ways your mom and dad would if they could.
She told me about them and wanted me to go to the Mom lunch AND the grandmom breakfast! I was so happy that she simply assumed that I held both roles.
I did go to the Mom Lunch., but the school's food was SO awful that both my granddaughter and I had a ball, making fun of it and laughing hysterically as I picked at my mozzarella sticks.
She then told me that I was "excused"" from the breakfast, which I figured would have been the better meal. I mean, how can you screw up eggs and bread? HAHAHAHAHA
