Ok. Monday I have to tell DSS I am moving. I have custody of 3o with case closed. In a "safety plan" I am the caretaker of 14 month old baby girl. Mom is supposed to get a job and attend therapy regularly
She hasnt gotten a job in 3 years so.... They just gave her unsupervised on Wednesday.biodad wants visitation to stay the same, I let him see gd often, usually at least once a week.
I am moving 100 miles away, but still in state. I have bben dropping her by biodads house, and wont be able to do that more than every other weekend as Ill be 2 hours away beginning next month.
I dont want to, but DH cant find work and all I could find requires me to relocate.
Anyone got any guesses what DSS is going to say?

You might want to run this by a lawyer (a quick consult) to completely understand your rights and responsibilities.
Our papers don't have any mention of anything like that. Of course, we also live close to a state line and people cross it all the time. But we aren't restricted by the custody papers from moving to Afghanistan if we wanted (hey, maybe not a bad idea :-)
