terrified the babies might be snatched away & put with strangers, when the vast majority just want help getting the bios out so theycan safely keep & continue to raise the babies. The system judges & points fingers & whispers about us letting the adult stay in the home, but unless tgey have been through everything it can entail, the fear that grips those who fear harm will come to the grandchildren if the adult leaves with them, the fear & sick feeling we get in the pit of our hearts & stomach even thinking an agency could take our babies from us & put them with strangers, imagining them sleeping in a strange house, crying & traumatized wondering where their family is at.........it's just more than anyone can imagine unless they've been through it.
I do have to say that I would be shocked if kids weren't removed if they
were in a car busted for heroin where I live. I used to pray that my 2 adult kids would get pulled over & arrested if they were taking the babies with them to buy drugs. God had a fleet of guardian angels around mine before I got them, that is for certain. I shudder to think what all they saw, with my stupid addicted adult children thinking it didn't matter because they were too young to understand what they saw & heard anyway. So thankful I got them when I did, before they got older & the damage got deeper. The younger we can get them out of those situations, the better, for SURE.
But the social workers told us that false accusations take up a large percentage of their workload. Ex-spouses call in an abuse report in order to try to get custody. Ex boyfriends like Pinky's do it for revenge. Others do it because they're just plan mean.
So the caseworkers spend countless hours chasing down false reports - no wonder the real cases don't get the attention they deserve!
They should make it a felony to knowingly file a false child abuse/neglect report. In our state, at least, there was absolutely nothing we could do legally. The claimants can always say that they really did think something was going on.
But there has to be some way to stop wasting the time of those who want to help our children!!!!
I try not to waste time thinking about my dd at all, I just focus on my gd.
Praying for all of you.
