Like Noahsmimi, I too want to scream at my dd. Ok, raised my voice but not scream, my gs was sleeping at the time. She's lucky.
Any way, a short synopsis of our history. We've had our gc for the most part, since they were born. We got our gd at 6 weeks old and our gs came home from the hospital to us. During that time, my dd and the useless sperm donor (hey, that's the nicest word I could use) supported them very little. Actually, the SD (sperm donor) supported them more than my dd. My DD was gracious enough to give us a box of diapers and a small package of pull ups ONCE. This is the only thing she has contributed to their support with in the past 4 and 5 years respectfully. We've asked her to give us $25.00 every few weeks just to help with them. Nope she can't do that. We stopped asking.
So today, I am having a crap day because my gd is being borderline bullied at school. I had to go take care of that situation at school this morning, hubby and I have an argument this morning as well, my gs is tired and acting up and THEN I happen to get on FB and see a pic of my daughters turtles on top of each other. That was it. I was done. I was pissed and I was trying to eat. I made a comment on her pic that said, WOW oh Wow and had to quickly sign off before I said something I would regret. She called me a few minutes later.
She told me about her baby girl having an issue with her ears. I let her talk and when she was done, I told her, "I have something to say to you and I would really like it if you would listen to me." I went totally and utterly off on her, lock stock and barrel. I've held it in and the new me will NOT hold my feelings in anymore. She was the 2nd one to experience the new me.
I told her that they can go out and buy mice and turtles and whatever they want. They can come and go as they please. They can buy whatever they want when they want BUT she can't give us any money to support her children? I said you don't support them financially or emotionally. I then said the last time you saw your children legitimately was Easter. (Side note: They did see their "mother" once since then for maybe 5 minutes when we took 2 boxes of diapers, wipes and about $50.00 worth of baby food to her so my other GD would have food and diapers because they piddled away their money). I told her, we on the other hand, have to get a babysitter here just so hubby and I can go out to dinner once in awhile by ourselves. We don't have the luxury to do the things we want because we are raising her children. I told her we have NEVER EVER blamed the babies for any of this because it's not their fault, but rather the parents fault. I told her also it seems that she cares more for and about her new baby than the other 2. Her response was, that's not true. Umm really? So lets prove it. I said, I didn't say you did care more for your baby, that it SEEMS you do and they are 2 different things. UGHHH I am so freakin mad still. I told her some other stuff but you have the gist of what I'm saying. Oh yeah, she said she was still working and going to school. Really? Hmmm must be nice.
So then, after I was done going off on her and after I FINALLY got to eat, I came back in to go on FB. OMGosh, she puts a comment on there (under the turtles) that said, "ive had the little one for sometime now btw, at least since income tax or shortly there after" Does she really not get it? OMGosh... Oh yeah, they got about 5 grand back from Income taxes this year, but could she give any of it up to support our GC or at least purchase them some small token? Ummm you guessed it. NOPE... not one red cent.
So yes, I just want to scream too. The bottom line is this: Selfish bio's acting selfishly and it's still all about them and what they want.

Just the idea that Pinky can sit and watch TV without being interrupted 5,000 times makes me want to scream.

You know what we did with our tax refund? Replaced an engine in one of our cars that had blown the year before, just so my DH wouldn't have to keep driving a gas hog 140 miles a day back and forth to work.
