This community is dedicated to grandparents who are the primary caregivers of their grandchildren. In cases where the parents are not willing or able to provide adequate care for their children, grandparents may take on the role of primary caregivers. I'm sore as if I have worked out in the gym, I'm tired to the point of being on my third wind and it's only nine in the morning...But I wouldn't trade it for the world!!!!!
We have had such a good time, it's been kind of crazy getting things put away and helping them get settled into the house again. LOL this is the first time seeing the computer since last Thursday!
First night, I put Gs in crib and he snuggled his head on his pillow and went right to sleep. 8:30 to 6:30. 2nd night he showed us he can climb out of his crib if he doesn't want to go to bed.... 3rd night, Gpa stood at the crib till he fell asleep. I started calling my husband the Baby whisperer.. LOL! Last night he went to sleep like a big boy. I think him being in Daycare helped him last night, cause his schedule is now back.
Gd got a raw deal for home coming, she ended up with strep throat on Friday we had her at Urgent care. Yesterday we had a one on one day as Gs and oldest Gd were gone to daycare and school. We went shopping for jeans and got her set up for today at school. We met her teacher and she even got home work which we did together. Gd sure has grown up!
I read a few of the post placed while I was busy...I'm sorry some of you ladies are hurting. I will keep you in my prayers. Guess what? I gotta get ready to take Gs to Dr. Appt for a well check... I'm loven this!

I am so busy with just one gc however; I still have two teen daughters still at home that keep us active, too. I am grateful that I am able to do what I do for my gs he needs someone who truely loves him and foster care isn't where he would find that.

Nothing like getting the illness out of the home the very first week...Now we can all enjoy the holidays! Let's face it we have to laugh over this!
