Today I am feeling sorry myself and keep asking why me???
I was diagnosed with rectal cancer yesterday. I am numb. I always felt God would look out for me because I am raising 2 beautiful little granddaughters. I just retired, July 1st. I always joked about dying right after I finally got to retire, God how I wish I never said that!!!!!
I worry about the girls, will my husband be able to keep custody if I am gone. He is not blood, he is a step grandpa but we do share custody. The thought that my daughter could get them back is scary. Their life would be pure hell. The drugs, the physical and mental abuse they endured before I was able to get them. Surely God wouldn't do that to them.
I am so scared and I am having a pity party for myself today. I am strong for all to see but inside I am numb and scared. I can't eat, sleep.
Please pray for me.

Just know that a diagnosis of cancer doesn't mean a death sentence. There are very effective treatments and we will all be pulling for you, praying, sending healing energy and whatever else we can do.
When my granny was diagnosed with leukemia and given only 6 months - I told her first of all it's not doctors who get to say how much time you have, it's the lord God who says. She took that to heart and it's been over 2 years, she is 84 and in remission.
I will be praying for you and your family.
