Thankful that my Savior is keeping me healthy enough to care for my grandbaby. I may moan and groan about how tiring it is to care for a 15 month toddler but I'm so grateful to be able to be here for him.

Grandmama, I feel the same way. If God weren't taking care of us, who would be here for our grandchildren? I can't stand the idea of raising them, but I love them SOOOO much. It's a conflict I deal with every day. But God is able to help us deal with it all, and for that I am so thankful! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!!!!!

Thanks Sara. This will be the first holiday without my daughter here. I keep praying she gets the help she needs. That may be out of my control - but I can make a difference in my grandbaby's life and will do so as long as I am able. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

Your not alone, this is the first Thanks Giving that my daughter will not be sitting at my table for dinner either. Today my GC had a visit with her bio mom and it was hard to watch and see her and not want to reach out and draw her in. The tempatation was so great, my heart hurts so much from the thought of it all. I thought that the holiday would be good just having my GC here with us safe but at the same time in the back of my mind I'm thinking of my Daughter also. I do miss her somewhat but I don't miss the drama that comes with her. Not to mention that she is still in denial of the abuse that the GC has suffered. It is a Sad holiday, but a holiday that I have to pull myself together and make special for the GC. She deserves a normal life as much as possible.

I am raising 2 granddaughters, one from each daughter. The teenager is with her mother today, but the mother of the younger girl left yesterday to spend the holiday with her boyfriend's family. I am heading out soon with that gd and her sister to eat with the aunt and uncle who have custody of that child. My daughter chooses not to be with two of her children. After listening to her poor pity me talk for the years she was in prison, now she chooses to stay away. I am thankful I am able to take care of these girls and enjoy the holiday with people I love. God has given me the ability to take over what the parents refuse to do.

I'm thankful that Pinky won't get here 'til 4:00! HAHAHA

The day has been SO peaceful, and all three kids have been absolute angels. Even my husband stayed out of my way, so cooking has been a pleasure.
