I haven't heard it yet, but will go look for it now. I'm sure I will feel the same way. How tragic. Humans behave like animals - killing their own young. It sickens me.

And my step granddaughter had a bruise on her ear and cheek bone,and she and her brother were taken away, so far for 9 months.. She fish tailed it out of a 18inch high tub, with her being 19 monhts old, I was thrilled when they told me she fell out of the tub, and she didn't climb INTO the tub with it filling up for Mom's hot bath.. and this woman can LIE, Murder and get away with all, Except she did loose her daughter,, (but wait she didn't want her anyways) 3 years for all the pain and suffering she put on her daughter and family. And IF she didn't do it, she sure as hell know's who did.
Sick over the whole thing

I can tell you from experience the criminal justice system is a joke and babies criminals and victimizes victims over and over. Ok, I see, kill your baby by suffocation or poisoning, hide the body and if you wait long enough you will get away with it. I can't imagine what this jury was thinking..so very sad. I real feel for her family who will now have this crazy woman back around them and God forbid she get knocked up again.

It is very sad. I didn't watch very much of the trial but caught some here and there.

Regardless of my own personal thoughts of her guilt or not, I think the overwhelming general public opinion is that she did this horrible thing. I don't think her life will be too easy from this point forward once she is out of jail. How does she avoid all the haters? No matter where she goes people will recognize her. If she's guilty, she will have to live with the fallout from it for the rest of her life no doubt. Even if she wants to just forget about it, I'm sure people will remind her.

I just feel so badly for that precious little girl who's life was cut short. It's just so sad.

Unfortunately she'll become very rich from the book/movie rights, etc. That will attract people to her like bees to honey, and since she's a sociopath, she doesn't have true emotions. So she'll be just fine regardless of what anyone says about her or even does to her. And she could have another baby -- the thought is so frightening.

All because 12 people lost their brains...Oh, well.

It really resignates with us grandmother who fought to raise our grandbabys, this could have been one of us, thank god it wasn't. There really should be more support out there for us, it seems to be an epidemic with these young girls having babys and then not wanting to raise them. More sociopaths in this world then ever before. This should cause a huge uproar, protests etc., would that even help, people must be informed this is happening in your backyard, with these yound people today !!!

As u can see i'm back !

I live in Orlando, so this has been a local story for three years and I have followed it throughout. I was in a public place when the verdict came down and virtually everyone I was around reacted the same way: shock/disgust/disappointment.

At the very least, Casey should have been found guilty of aggravated manslaughter and received 10 years in prison. What a sad outcome for such a narcissistic, obnoxious young woman who clearly didn't deserve to ever be a mother.

I also place blame on Cindy and George. They insisted Casey keep Caylee when she openly stated she wanted to adopt her out right after she gave birth. You can't MAKE someone be a loving mother.

When Casey broke off her engagement with Jesse Grund, a man who adored both Casey and Caylee, that said it all. She wasn't willing to incorporate a man into her mother/daughter bond. She didn't want to have to compete with Caylee for Cindy's attention, nor for Jesse's. She resented Caylee in so many ways.

Just despicable!

I just don't understand the jury. Just Linda's closing argument alone would have convinced me beyond any "reasonable" doubt. I would have gone for the aggravated manslaughter as well, since there really wasn't enough linkage between her unknown death cause and premeditation. But it was SO obvious that Casey did something to kill that child.

I don't know what planet that jury was on, but they deserve the anger they're reaping, IMHO. Those of us on this forum know the kinds of things that go on, and to me that was a defeat for all of us who care about our grandchildren.

No one stood up for the child. I think the jury was so wrong in the way they handled this. If the body of her child, wrapped up in plastic bags, tape across her mouth and nose and the heart sticker, didn't convince them, they must not have been paying attention. I am sickened by what she is getting away with. btw, I think there are moves going on to stop her from making money. I can only hope they will be successful.

There's a whole Facebook page devoted to boycotting anything that comes from this trial. So far even Jerry Springer backed away from his initial offer. The FB page has a loooong list of publishers, etc. and people have been contacting them. I emailed my local ABC affiliate and told them that if ABC does an interview with Casey I will never watch that station again. And I mean it.
