Grandparents Raising Children Support Group
This community is dedicated to grandparents who are the primary caregivers of their grandchildren. In cases where the parents are not willing or able to provide adequate care for their children, grandparents may take on the role of primary caregivers. If he can't see what's been right under his nose for 20 years he never will.
My husband's cousin has an addicted daughter the same age as Pinky. In fact, they use to do drugs together. Her daughter has never even attempted to get straight and has been in and out of jail. She has ripped off her mother countless times, wrecked her cars, had friends over who ripped off her mother, etc etc.
Her mom buys her new cars, replaces what was stolen and continues to allow her to live with her. She will tell you to this day that her daughter doesn't use drugs -- even when the girl is slurring and half asleep. She sees it. She has to, but her brain just won't let her admit what's going on. I've never seen anything like it my life!
