We got to that point with Pinky. A bit different, because if we got the call it would've been because she OD'd or was murdered. But if there was any peace in the whole thing, it was knowing that we'd done it all, been there for her, etc. etc. And once we realize that NOTHING we do will make a difference, and that we cannot do anything else because of the law, we have no choice.
Everything is in the Lord's hands at that point.
I am keeping you, your daughter and your grandchildren in my prayers. And your husband...because as much as it hurts, he's right to be firm on not letting her come home and not giving her any money.
I'm still amazed (and ashamed) that our society doesn't have any good resource for people who are mentally ill...people who obviously need help, even when they say they don't...people who cause so much insane chaos in their own lives and the lives of the people who love them.
Wishing you peace through this storm...
As I'm typing this there is a picture on the side with a Dad and a baby sleeping. My little one said, Gramma, I slepted on Mommy when I was a baby. I told him he slept right next to gramma and grampa's bed in his crib... The little guy took his arm put it around me and said, he was happy to found me. I told him we are the lucky ones to have him.
Ok, My day is perfect!
This should be interesting.
