I am so happy that their is a man in his life that will show him how to be a good daddy.
Yesterday gs had a bad melt down at school because they wouldn't let him go wash his hands when he wanted. He told them Daddy said he had to keep his hands clean.Everything is all about daddy right now so guess what I did,I let Daddy deal with it.And I am glad I did.My hubby got him in his lap and talked to him.He told him that he couldn't always have everything his way and that he had to do what the teachers said when they said to.He explained that it wasn't very nice to throw a fit like that on his teachers and if he did it agian he would get into trouble with Daddy too.Gs started crying and told his Daddy he wouldn't ever do it again. Then looked up at him andasked if he was mad at him.My husband told him no but that he was very disappointed that he behaved that way.My hubby hugged him and told him loved him.
I was so proud I almost cried.I beleive that hubby may have made him understand in a way I couldn't.I am still going to talk to his teachers about his need to keep his hands clean. He has sensory problems and can't handle it when his hands get yukky.I may have to buy him some babywipes to take to school so he can wipe his hands when he feels the ned to.
Your gs is lucky to have you and your husband...it sounds like he did a wonderful job. Like I said on this thread b4 "I am so happy that their is a man in his life that will show him how to be a good daddy" coming from the experience of that I have two boys and I had to show them how to be good me....have "the talk" and just try to understand how boys are b/c I obviously ain't one!!!! But my oldest son is 25 he has a great work ethic he is very respectful to woman (sometimes to a fault)
*glowing* for you and your family...
