My 19 yr old sd and her 33 yr old bf moved in with her mom who is 35 on July 1st. She has not live with her mom since she was 6 when her moms rights were finally terminated. She spent her whole life in foster care other than the far too many failed reunifications. She spent her entire life waiting for "the fantasy of mom" where everything was going to perfect and she would be loved unconditionally. Her mom was going to help her get her life on track so she can get her son back. I knew this reunion was going to be doomed before it started. Her mom is all kinda of dysfunctional. Addiction, mental illness, personality disorders, and always in an abusive relationship. Her mom also grew up in foster care. Less than 24 hr before problems began to arise. Her mother only had a rented room so they got an apartment together the day after she arrived. That my sd paid for, but only her moms name was on the rental agreement. After a week she called us begging for money, because between the three grown adults they didn't have a dollar to their name and her mom wasn't getting paid for two more weeks. Told her sorry we are a family of four on a single income and raising her child who has special needs. The minimal therapy we are doing just to sustain his development is 900 dollars a month out of pocket, our insurance won't cover any. I am fighting to get that changed but it's a whole other story. They are three adults, one with a part time job. And just two days before she posted videos on FB of her and her mom drunk and dancing and smoking. No I don't have money for you. There were beer cans all over the table in the video. Before moving she was oh so proud that she had save a thousand dollars for her move, thinking that was going to be enough to get her set up. Just a week before moving to where her mom lives she planned to come here. A thousand dollars where we live might get her a room in someone's house or if she was really lucky a basement suite in the bad end of town. But only if she could convince someone to waive a damage deposit.
Then last week she harassed my husband threatening him, because she got screwed over in court and we told lies to the judge. I told the whole truth and nothing but, as did hubby. I am not sure what the social worker or psych had to say on the stand as they were before me. Though I am pretty sure they had no reason to lie either. Not that she was even there to know what was said. Threats to take us back to court. Court was 5 months ago. She was just all around manic, telling old stories as gospel because her mom said so. Apparently her dad and I kidnapped her as a baby. That's something I think I would remember.
Then demanded we let her talk to gs. I said no. I didn't think it was in his best interest to talk to her when she was like that.
Thursday sd received her government money. Yesterday her mom "borrowed" that money with out asking her. Then for some random craziness, she came home to find some random drug addict laying in her bed watching tv and wearing my sd clothes including underwear. Because my sd is a double Xl and this girl was probably an xs (she posted a pic) and when she stood the shorts fell right off. Then to finish off last night, her one and only mother who was going to make everything better, kicked her daughter out on her butt, in a city that she just moved to, and knows no one, but her mom. Arrrrg. Her moms 25 yr old gang banger bf was mad about the cell phone she got for sd. Mom chose the bf of course because that's what she has always done. Again. It's no wonder sd is doing the same with gs. At least he is too young to really understand/and only knows he has a mum that he just talks to every once in a while on the phone. How do I help gs not follow that same path. I think letting her have free rein to call might not be wise. I hope that he won't live in the same fantasy. All of my sd 1/2 siblings never struggled like she did because they were all really small when they were removed.
Oh and my last omg, my sd tried to added gs yoga teacher on FB and asked her for money... Oh and though homeless has still managed to post no less than 6 selfies today.

These bios just continue to keep the fantasy going, then they wreck it every time.
I wish the courts would understand that the bios are like Hamas. As Netanyahu said, "If Hamas laid down their weapons, there would be no more war. If Israel laid down her weapons, there would be no more Israel."
We keep being forced to "lay down our weapons" and the bios keep trying to destroy us. The courts need to let us take the bios out of the picture altogether for the sanity of our grandchildren!!!!!
I never knew what drama was until 12 years ago when my son met his current x wife. OMG her whole maternal side of the family was drama.
I have found the easiest way to say no to contact and visits by bio mom was to tell her every thing has to be done through a visitation center. I am not telling her she can not see the kids just that DCF recommended visitations be supervise and I am not willing to supervise. When it is up to the bio to make the arraignments and PAY for the visits they do not follow through.
