She hasn't completed the requirements. My son SWORE he was given the wrong court date for the TPR hearing & that he RAN to the courthouse only to find out they had held the TPR hthe day before. 3.5 YEARS after it all started & the caseeorker had asked both parents to sign over thrir rights voluntarily because it woukd be better than having them terminated by a judge, but it came down to a court date that neither of them attended, & of course, it was everyone else's fault.
Dh asked our lawyer to file that we are seeking to terminate her rights so we can make this permanent, but when the psychologist who was doing gs autism assessment asked if we planned to adopt him I said yes and dh said no.
Then he tells sd that if she really doe get straighten out it's isn't going to be a fight to get her child back. He says this because he doesn't believe that is ever going to happen. But lying to her isn't the way to go simply because he doesn't want to get into an argument other her. He seems to forget that this is us against her, not her against CPS. They just got the ball rolling.
No, I wouldn't remind her. As others stated above, there will always be a reason no matter what. Mine also had over a year to get her life together, but waited until the last minute to take care of crucial matters. Then like yours, she posted on FB how stressed about all the things that were piling up on her at once.
By the way, my husband and I had to literally clean up the mess she left behind in the apartment she abandoned, and we did NOT post it on FB!
