As many of you know, my teen GD's bio was recently released from prison. He is a level 3 sex offender involving 4 and 6 yo little girls. Was in prison for 11 yrs. I have only had custody for 1 year this time.

He wanted contact with GD, I refused. He contacted her anyway. GD told her psychologist. Psych encouraged GD to tell me. I forbid any contact. Psych told me I would lose her so should allow it. I allowed phone contact only.

In July my mother was diagnosed with cancer and died 4 days later. I was out of state with her for 9 days, GD was home with Grandpa (she refused to travel with me) who works long days. He brought GD to me for funeral days.

When I returned GD was acting strangely. Talking about bio constantly like he was her long lost wonderful father! She was also going for long (walks), dressing in pastels and wearing very little make up. (She had previously been wearing only black with heavy makeup since she came to live with us 1yr ago.) I told her I knew she was sneaking out with bio. She denied it and prepared to go for walk again.

I grounded her for 2 weeks for the first time ever. During this time a "mother" of one of her friends phoned me to ask if GD could come to slumber party with friend for her BD. I knew friend but hadn't met the mother. I agreed since I am so anxious for GD to be with friends her age.

We insisted on driving GD to slumber party. When we arrived at the time requested "mother" came out, introduced herself to husband and I, hugged GD and said the other girls were at roller rink already and she was just waiting for GD. I texted GD several times to check on her that evening and morning. She was driven home by "mother" in the a.m. BTW friend is Asian and so was this "mother."

A week later I get another call from this "mother" asking if GD could go to waterpark with them. I agreed since last time went so well. She said she would p/u GD on way home from work, then pick up her daughter and sisters and go.

I was in bed reading when they returned at 9p. Husband answered door. "Mother" brought 2 little boys in to use the bathroom. After they left GD replied to me that the little boys were "mother's" friend's kids and GD's friend was in car.

Last week I got a FB message from exboyfriend of GD saying she was sneaking out and seeing bio and having a sexual relationship with him. GD denied. I called police. Detectives arrived at our home the next day with subpoena for GD's cell phone and questioned GD for long time alone. I had call into psychologist who wanted me to put GD in hospital.

I then contacted a victim's advocate who counseled me on how to support GD. I did what she told me. A few days later we attended a wake then went out for dinner. At dinner GD, out of the blue, told me that her friend's mother was really bio's girlfriend! While trying not to show my feelings, I calmly said "Wow! That's quite the secret you've been carrying around with you. I'm proud of you for telling me."

A few minutes later, GD wanted to know what was wrong with having a "relationship" with a parent. She told me she believed it was just like gay rights and was legal in New Jersey. I calmly told her we could discuss this more at home.

I called Detective in morning, they came back and questioned GD alone again yesterday (both women) and then one came in my room to tell me they were leaving to arrest bio. But to continue to watch GD closely (I haven't let her out of my sight since receiving that FB message) because she told Detective that if she could not have a relationship with bio she would hurt herself.

GD does not know they are trying to arrest him. I am just waiting to hear he's in custody and praying and praying. Police still have her phone and she can now only use her laptop in view of us.
