So after 4 months my step daughter texted to tell me she had an attorney and would become regular with visits. Two weeks ago she visited for the first time. In the meantime we've moved forward with life and made plans all the way up until next spring. This weekend for Mother's Day I plan on spending it wit my 95yr old grandmother. So when she asked when she could visit I put it back on her and asked when she could come. She said this weekend. I said Saturday the 12th would work. My bad as Saturday is the 11th. We talked after the text and again i said saturday .Anyway I didn't realize my mistake until this past Wednesday when she called to confirm as I asked her too, she said see you Sunday. I said no Saturday as we discussed. Anyway I pointed out that my text saidSaturday and that I confirmed it on a call. She said no problem I'll be there Saturday. Anyway today I get a text from her, she can't make it because she confusesd the days and asked that I have "her children" call her on Mother's Day, to wish her a happy Mother's Day. The nerve!
So much for being regular. It sounds like an excuse too me. I get so scared that she will do just enough to get them back. If she truly did change although my heart would break I would do what was in the best interest of the kids. Which after 6 years I sought handed them over regardless would be in Thier beat interest.
It is so unfair that we have to deal with them coming in and out as they please. Not fair.

I think it's an excuse, too. It's MOTHER'S DAY! You'd think she would have done whatever it takes to visit and collect her accolades from the kids. The fact that she came up with such a lame reason tells me she isn't serious about changing, either. I don't think you have anything to worry about :-)
Pinky will be here - even though her shelter supposedly cancelled all overnights because some of the girls were abusing it. So now she'll only be able to spend the day at our house instead of Friday evening - Sunday afternoon. And of course the only day she can make it just happens to be Sunday. Of course! It's Mother's Day, and she can't wait to preen and flounce around acting like Mother of the Year. Especially in church.
I will try to be Christian about it, I really will. But it's hard. LOL
Anyway I wish you the beat this Sunday. I don't know how you do it every weekend.
