Dd is in town. Gs has eczema and has been to dr twice . Dd is like " are you pitting the cream on everyday?"
Sometimes I just want to shout "as soon as you decide I'm not doing a good enough job raising your kids you can get your head out your a$$ and raise them yourself!"
I'm just saying .......

My son suggested my 6 yo is too big for a carseat, asking if I was going to "seriously make him ride in a carseat until he's 65 lbs", suggesting that just sounded so stupid to him & how embarrassing it would be for my 6 yo, etc. Just further confirmation that he is NOT "parent" material. How DARE THEY question US??!!!

I feel your pain. I cut my grandsons hair and my step daughter acts like I should have asked first. Really?!!!!!

diana, My daughter does the same thing when I cut my gd's hair. I feels like they think of their children as possessions.

my DD always has a better way of doing things... always offer different options and putting blame on the way we do things... YET she hasn't raised one child... she had two.

Over the years I've noticed that people who never had children believe they are authorities on child rearing. I'd compare it to a lifelong virgin telling me how to improve my sex life. I think it's that ridiculous. And that's how much value I give it. It IS annoying and yes, much more so in our situations, to hear it from our self centered, ungrateful bios.

whoops - I meant to say SOME childless people. I've known people who have chosen to not have kids because they ended up parenting their siblings ( due to their parent's malfunction ) and they often do have plenty of child rearing insight !

I have a fly by night friend like that. We use to hang out a lot until I became a mom again. She helped raise her SS. However when the SS got into his teens, she kicked him out to his mothers house to live. They came over one night and looked at my house, her first words were do you not feel well? I asked her what she meant? She said the house didn't look as neat and tidy as it usually does.... My reply was welcome. Then on the day of my GD/D baptism they came for the party"surprise" I didn't know they were invited since we hadn't seen them in over a year. Anyways, she tried to give me parenting advise for the little ones and for DD. I just looked at her, rolled my eyes and said, you through your SS to the curb and walked away. Her husband was ready to go home right then, she stuck around for an hour or so. I really don't like people like that!
