Went to court. Everyone ageeed to send my grandson home accept for the Guardian ad litem who hasn't visited the baby since February, hasn't spoken to us since February. Comes over here on Friday for 5 minutes and proceeds to go to court and argue that we shouldn't get him back.

Even DSS says it's time to send him home.

So since the GAL can't agree with everyone else, we have to go back to a contested trial on September 6. One more long delay. They stold his first Christmas, now they still have him for his first birthday. I will have home visit for his birthday.

It's hard to believe you can have this much pain and not be bleeding. I feel like I have had my soul ripped out.

Ad litems are not much at all. They do not do there job. Most of them I should say. I have meet one that is an amazing man. But he has seen both sides, he fills in for the judges.
I was lucky enough to work with him on my first case.
Has CASA been apointed? Ask for one, she/he can come and observe. God Bless you

Not sure what a CASA is, but our Social Services social worker has observed weekly visits as well, and she was saying it's time to send him home to me. The GAL is the only one against it. THe paid visitation supervisor is also on my side and is going to testify to that . I just can't believe because 1 person who has had little or no contact with any of us, we have to go through the delay and tramua of another long wait and another trial. I am so tired of this. I am tired of trying to prove we are good people. Enough is enough already. They have had him in DSS custody for almost 11 months now.

CASA is a court appointed avocate for the child. They would spend more time then the ad litem. I really don't know why they have the ad litems???? Most do not do there job or if they do it is at last minute. Have not been to impressed with them.
Our case we had to pay a huge amount for one that made one visit to our home in 6 months and one trip to the mothers home. Our part was over a $1000 for this!!! That was suppose to be half.
