I received a call from my Daughter after her visit. GS was burnt in the hand by a cigarette belonging to the foster father. Daughter said it looks like the head of the cigarette was grabbed and the cherry ember was rolling in his hand. WTH was my grandson allowed next to a smoker when he has a Asthmatic breathing condition, thus second hand smoke which now I understand why the kid has sounded raspy in his breathing since he has been at the foster home!
when I saw the kids two weeks ago, GS had diarrhea, We'll he still has it, and he is now blowing it out of his clothes, PA said he needed a bath prior to visit due to this.... Okay the diarrhea is not getting better? Maybe it should be checked out after two weeks????
Last week my daughter called to tell me GS pulled a sippie cup out of the diaper bag furnished by Foster mom. GS took a big gulp made a face. GD screamed..Don't let him drink from that, it's been in there for days!!! My daughter opened the cup up and found curdled milk!!! Gee how much curdled milk has my GS drank, and could that be part of the bowl problem!!!!
Parent aide is there, she sees this , she hears this and daughter tells me she doesn't write anything down and doesn't make comment. She sure did have a lot to write down during visit with kids that my husband and I had!!
We contacted the lawyer, told him the above Now it's considered physical danger and a motion will again go into the courts. I lost it...How many damn motions do we need to send before someone listens???? I'm ready to go get those kids myself , what do we have to do lose a child before the ears open? In the mean time...Who is going to take my GS for medical treatment?

They have a great deal of experience in the laws affecting grandparents raising grandchildren. They got the Fostering Adoption law created and passed. They can give you advice as to your legal rights. Unfortunately few lawyers are up to date on laws affecting us.
When the children were refused back into my care after my medical release from the doctor, I looked into Grand families of America. This is why my husband and I went to a lawyer. Grandparents have to be part of the "case" in order to have any say. The only time I would be able to have a say, would be if the kids are placed for adoption. Then I have first rights based on the act signed, but then again I would have to fight the CW who does not have the kids best interest, but has a broken ego.
My daughters attorney has an accelerated motion into the court to drop the case and return the children to her or continue with the case and return the children to me. Now the attorney has just placed a new accelerated motion into the court today due to physical harm to the children, requesting return of children to me until the case is dismissed.
Againwaiting for a judge to respond! My faith has been tested and is in overdrive....
I talked to my dad who was a foster parent for years. Foster parents are not to smoke in the house with the kids, have your daughter get a copy of the child's medical records. She still has the right to them. Also, take your camera to every visit and take pictures.
