Dad mom signed papers for me to have custody, served biodad a parents house, per his request. Found out biodud just moved 1000 miles away, and his parents mailed him the papers. I hope he signs them buy who can trust a biodud? Wouldn't be first time he dropped the ball... His gf should want him to sign because he may be able to get out of child support and she has 3 kids they are supporting . I hate complications and delays. I am afraid biomom will change her mind if this takes much longer:(
GMaWilli
Just kills me how the bios keep us on pins & needles like they do. Grrrrrr.........I hope he signs & returns it quickly, but won't be surprised if he doesn't.
SaraBT
Neither of our bioduds even acknowledged receipt of their papers. They didn't show up at the hearing and lost custody automatically.

Has biomom signed yet? Our daughter signed and biodad didn't show up for court and we were granted guardianship without either in court. I pray he signs quickly!
GMaWilli
Redhead, had biodad signed the paper?
scgramma
So he called Saturday and says he signed them and is mailing them back. We shall see. I'm still so confused. Happy to get this resolved, and sad that this is happening. Resentful and relieved...

GMaWilli, biodad never signed the papers and did not show up for court. With biomom's signature and all our documentation (biomom and biodad had been before this judge several times in a couple of years, once involved my gd), the judge granted us guardianship of my gd.
GMaWilli
Redheadfrog, it's refreshing to hear stories like yours where judges are really doing what's in the child's best interest.
GMaWilli
Scgramma, I bet once you get this finished, your relief will outweigh your resentment, especially when you tuck that baby safely into bed each night.
