So my gs biodud has parole hearing Thursday . He has been in jail since gs was 6 weeks and abused. 7 years ago.He tried to Facebook dd and I'm thinking he is going to try to find us as he claims he doesn't know why gs hasn't visited or written .i am afraid he will just show up while gs is riding his bike or climbing off the bus. All we've told gs is his father lives far away and was too young to be a father(17) don't know what I'll do if he shows up. How do yiu say your bio just got out of prison for hitting you and fracturing yiur legs? I'm praying he will relocate to FL as be stated on his paperwork. He has a sister down there. I know his mother died a few years ago, and that trailer park is now abandoned but he may still have friends 100 miles from here.

Is there a way you can find out if he is released?
If he is released, I don't think it would help to tell your grandson anything. He wouldn't even know who to be on the lookout for.
My instinct is that you'll have to be extra vigilant for a while until you get a sense of where the bio's head is.

Hi scgramma, I haven't been around here much lately but drop in when I can, your situation sounds a bit like mine. There is a website called VINE Victims Information and Notification Everyday that you can register at and be notified of the offender's status https://www.vinelink.com/vinelink/initMap.do.

In our situation we have a permanent civil restraining order, he has to go to court and petition for any contact, likely never. Again that's only as good as the paper etc. etc. We actually picked up and moved about 40 miles away and updated our info with the court. That is all we were required to do.

I'm so sorry, it is so stressful and scary. The good news is they usually don't stay out of jail for long.

Go to local police and present history, court orders, etc and ask for an order of protection. Perhaps they can find him in their system to serve the order and will be able to advise you of his whereabouts. If he does show up, call police, get your gs in another room and do as mystery said and get the civil restraining order. I would that the history of abuse and jail would be enough to justify that. Good news parole denied. Bad news he gets out in April anyway and then he won't even have a pArole officer I can go to.....

Under the circumstances, I would think a judge would give you an OP.
Then if he shows up all you have to do is call the police.
