don't know why, but I'a amazed that she woudn't stay at my house a couple days to help take care of her sick child. She insisted her child go to tinytown and stay with her and her friends, 30 miles from doctors and hospitals, instead of staying 1 mile from doctors and hospitals at my house. She lived with me for 3 months, has only been gone a week, but its too much trouble to take care of her sick baby at my house while I work?

I am raising now 2 of your kids, for 2 years, you little ingrate, and have been transporting you all over creating to your multiple appointments and you can't saty at my house for 2-3 days while your new baby with bronchitis and an ear infection recuperates???????

I refused to carry baby up there, and she couldn't get a ride to carry her baby up there. So baby is still with me, but GGGEEEEZ. If she can't get a ride from my house to there, what makes anyone think she will be able to take baby to doctor? Who just bought tylenol and ibuprophen? Who is buying diapers and food? She actually thinks I should buy her diapers and baby food, and meds, and drive baby up there and abandon her to her mothers care... RIGHT!!!!

I hear ya, scgramma. That's one of the major reasons why we stopped doing ANYTHING for my husband's daughter. No rides, no money, no scheduling appointments -- I won't even look up the bus schedule for her anymore. She's 32 years old -- she should do that herself. And as you said, if she can't do that, how can she take the baby anywhere?

Fortunately, since we've stopped doing those things for her, she no longer comes down to see the kids. It's wonderful!

I understand too. The one thing that I have learned is not to expect anything from them (the bios). I came to the figure that if parents can't take care of the gkids when they are well what makes me think that they are going to help out when they are sick. I am only setting my self up for anger and fustration.

I am sorry that you are going thought this and I hope the grandbaby is doing much better now.

I hope the grandbaby is better. I am glad the child is with you. I learned the hard way to quit helping my daughters.

I also do not expect anything from bio mom. I pretend gd is my daughter and ask my mom or sisters for help. I would never trust bio mom with gd even for a few hours without me. I found if I don't expect anything I am not disappointed as often.

Dido Raven I too treat my GS as my own I ONLY ask the bios if I have NO other options. My hubby and I try to work our schedules around taking care of my GS if not I ask my mom, my sons, or DILs. The bios are the last on the list. As my hubby says if you dont expect that they MIGHT you arent disappointed when they DONT.
