I have been an online searching person for many years

I try to put all the keywords of what I am searching for.

Yesterday I was looking for examples of what to feed my 1 yr old grandson because he has issues with eating he gags even on small chunks of food. Also, I want to find dairy replacement for 1 year old baby I wanted to compare what dairy milk has in it and replace it with an healthier drink.

I definitely don't just put something like "custody". I lose patience very quickly wading through all of the custody information having to do with divorce.

Usually I search something like "grandparent custody" or custody resulting from CHIPS, or non parent custody. Personally, I have pretty much given up searching for that stuff online because I have just never found much. I just stick to the sites I've found through here and through our state (sites like AARP, Grandsplace, state dept of aging resources, etc for the grandparent custody information.

As for the child behavior issues, like the previous poster, I just type in what I am looking for, as specific as possible and then try rewording it if I don't get much.

I would use grandparenting or custodial issues w/ regards to grandparenting of course w/ each of these

social security and custodial grandparents
TANF
Visitation
GAL
WIC
Separation anxiety
sleep issues
day care
financial aid for medical, day care, etc

See, when we write websites we have to include keywords and phrases that people are likely to use. If you search for "I can't control my child" for example, that phrase should be on the website. It's tricky, because you can't include ALL of them, but the closer you come to what people are searching for, the better :-)

Sara, I use phrases a lot with computer stuff - like "I can't open..." or "such and such doesn't work", etc. But when I'm looking for websites I use one or two words.

Some I guess I'd use for parenting issues might be

Behavioral modification
ADHD
ODD

As what I am looking for gets more specific, so do my terms:

If you put in one-word keywords and someone puts in a phrase, the search engine still pulls up that one word out of the phrase so you really do not need to add phrases (unless you want more refined searches). Be mindful of the services that your website offers and make sure that the keywords that will find those services are included--especially keywords that may single out that entity over thousands of others. For example, if your Children's Agency is mainly for adoptions of babies, of course you would want Baby and Adoption to be in the mix. I would even put in Babies since some people may type in that word and Baby and Babies are spelled differently using an "i" as opposed to a "y" in the plural. The more precise your keywords are, the more of a chance that the search engine will pick up your agency first. Also, give the Web Crawlers time to pick up the site. The use of the right keywords make them pick up the site quicker.

Some ideas that immediately come to mind when I see your site are New Jersey, NJ, child services, and children services. Otherwise, without knowing the site's name and just what services it offers, I cannot come up with any more keywords.
