The crying was all self-pity. Wah wah wah, mom called me out on my laziness. And the boyfriend, well, it's none of his freaking business!
Sadly, I think I'd stick with short, supervised visits with dd. She simply doesn't have the mental capacity to be a good mother. Oh, and take back that crib and sell it on e-bay!
When my GD goes to see her dads family there are things that I dont agree with as far as how they live, but that is their life. As long as I know the GD is safe I dont sweat it. She loves going over there and is never worse for wear when she comes home. I just scoop her up and ask her to tell me all about her time at daddys!
The whole point of ALL visitation is for the mother to spend enough time with her kids that she realizes she has to do something in order to qualify to get them back. Or, at the very least, just to be a mom to them once in a while. If she's shuffling off an occasional visit to someone else, she isn't worthy of having her kids overnight, IMHO.
My husband and I stopped giving his daughter ANYTHING after he bought her two cars, at least four cell phones, clothing, one apartment down payment, food, countless bus tickets to visit us, and endless $20 bills (funny how it's always a twenty. Just enough for a Perc.) We figure that even one dime saves her that same dime to use to buy drugs. That one ride saves her from having to figure out how to do things most adults know how to do. And on and on.
So he had to sell one car, and he's still paying off the other one. The cell phones must have cost us hundreds of dollars in service cancellation fees. The phones were lost, stolen, sold, whatever. And the DVD players in one of the cars were sold for drugs.
No. More. Giving. Anything. To addicts.
While I am loading them into car, I ask her what happened to her taking them to soccer. She replied "nobody cares"
I asked her what that is supposed to mean. She replies " nobody cares so f*** you"
I responded," you don't care if your son is late for practice?" she reponds "f*^% you" and walks away.
I'd be upset too. Did she curse at you like that in front of the grandbaby??
