@ sara... I may have asked this before... you have had your GK for a while now is there a reason y'all have decided not to adopt?
My husband has always hoped that Pinky would get her life together and get them back, and we both know that she would fight an adoption tooth & nail. I also think one of the fathers could crawl out of the woodwork, too, and we didn't want all of that legal drama. The kids would not be happy with adoption, either, so that sort of settled it :-)
Plus, since they all share our last name, we figured that custody would be enough. It gives us most of the rights of adoptive parents, so we can make all of the decisions for the kids.
Congratulations, I am so happy of for you all.
Have a wonderful trip.
