I notice the forum has been slow lately - I hope that's a good sign. :-)

In our case, everything has been wonderful for the past several months. After being absent from her grandmother's funeral, Pinky hasn't really tried to come around. My husband (it was his mom who passed away) won't even take her calls.

Relief, relief!

The kids don't seem to mind, because they have their own social lives. They have more fun that we do! HAHAHA

Just wondering how all of you have been!

Hello Sara, Things have been good on this side of the USA. We have done our vacations and camping, now we are getting ready for school to start in the next week.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your mother-in-law.

I havent been here in a while because things were pretty good but Im back hoping to vent and get advice. I am so stressed I am taking it out on EVERYBODY and I truly just want to leave. Busy summer. Worried about my Mom ill in FL. Worried about DS relapsing again - heroin addiction is a nightmare. Enjoying no contact from my DIL.

I'm really disappointed with this group. I was hoping to find a connection...a friend, geez, Idk. I joined, never got a greeting, or a welcome to the group etc. I've private messaged people sharing my phone number..no calls. I've read pleas for help, given advice and then that person never gives us an update. Just another lost soul out there in cyberspace. I was just hoping to find...a friend...and haven't. That's why I've been away. It's not anyone in particulars fault...or the group itself. I was just looking for something, more.
I've been a single mom for 25 years and now I have been a single grandmother for 5 additional years. I guess I'm just destined to be raising kids on my own and alone. I was sure hoping to find a friend here.

Hi Sara,

I/we are doing well. I/we have had custody of the kids for a few years now. Sperm donor has had no, zero, zip, zilch, nadda contact with them for 4-5 years now. Birth "mother" still has very little contact with them and can't really understand why they won't listen to her when she does grace their presence.

This is how we like it because the kids are finally settling down
