I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself... I'm not technically a grandparent raising a grandchild...
my 3 year old daughter is the granddaughter of a friend from high school and my grown son is 32 so I technically qualify age wise...lol
I can already feel the warmth and support of this group and it's members.. this is exactly the kind of forum I've been searching for...
after going through the excruciating process of DCF and the road to adoption this feels like the place to let the healing begin...

I am working on getting my grandkids transferred from one state to another (out of foster care), and it's a long, awful process too. I never would have imagined what goes into this...

I pray your gk's are with good fosters, there are certainly some awesome people that open their homes.... especially while you traverse the mine field..
