I have to tell you something that I am so excited about. I am on my way to quitting smoking. Up until the past week, I have smoked between a pack and a pack and a half a day. I am down to half a pack a day and I rarely miss it. I am proud of myself for doing this and getting this far...
I have to be here for many more years for my gc so this is what I have to do to ensure that I am here for them.
Please please please, pray for strength for me on my journey... I need all the prayers I can get.

I once quit for 10 years cold turkey. This last time I made it to four months using lozenges and gum.
I think when I do it again I will COMMIT (no pun intended) to using the lozenges and gum for one week only. Maybe two. Then cold turkey it the rest of the way.
I found that all I did was get addicted to the lozenges and gum :-( Cold turkey is awful, but I think it's the only thing that works.
And prayers, of course :-)
