Grandparents Raising Children Support Group
This community is dedicated to grandparents who are the primary caregivers of their grandchildren. In cases where the parents are not willing or able to provide adequate care for their children, grandparents may take on the role of primary caregivers. Join the support group to find support, share your experience, and get advice from other members.
If she wants to see the kids she has to figure out how to get to our home. We will not, under any circumstances, allow the kids to visit her in whatever hole she's living.
If she moves she has to find a way to do it. She certainly finds enough men to give her money and buy goodies for her. Surely they can lift a government-purchased sofa now and then.
If she needs a rehab she has to find one.
If she gets tossed out of her apartment she has to find a new home herself.
Every choice she has ever made, without exception, has been wrong. But she has always insisted on doing what she wanted to do, and screw everyone else.
So now we just allow her to do whatever she wants to do - but she also has to accept the consequences.
We accepted the consequences of her having unprotected sex, and we're doing it not for her but for OUR grandchildren. But everything else she chooses to do is 100% on her.
Can you tell I just don't like Pinky very much? HAHAHAHA!
Sara, I lived by those rules as wel last year and my life was very manageable. This year I wanted to have a little humanity placed in my New Year. It got me nowheres and fast! Back to the "take care of me and the family I'm raising."
