GRANDPARENTING THE GOOD STUFF Community Group
THIS IS A GROUP WHERE GRANDPARENTS RAISING GRANDCHILDREN CAN COME AND TO TALK ABOUT THE GOOD STUFF! NO PROBLEMS, NO WORRIES, JUST THE GOOD STUFF!
I know the title sounds really "weird" but I didn't know how else to say it.
For months and months and months ok, more like years, I have been telling the babies that they are beautiful and I love them so much. Recently, my gd (who is a smarty pants in some aspects) started noticing me looking at her and she asks, "why are you looking at me" with her hands up in the air and a smirk on her face. I tell her "because you're beautiful." She then will smile real big, and say, "thank you momma." Then of course my monkey do asks the same question and I tell him the same thing.
Well today, we are playing in the livingroom and my gd gets up on the couch and notices her brother looking at her. She asks him, in the same manner she asks me, "Why are you looking at me?" Her brother, bless his heart, looks her dead in the eyes and says, "Because you're bootiful" (He is 3). So then they switch places and he asks her the same thing... "WHy U Wooking at me for?" To which my gd (who is also 3 for 13 more days) said "Because you are beautiful."
I just thought it was so priceless and innocent on both their parts and this is something I plan on teaching them for the rest of their lives, that they are beautiful, both inside and out.
I just wanted to share.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
