GOYA Community Group
A group focused on motivating all members to GOYA= "Get off Your A@#'s" and exercise to help maintain a spiritually fit body and mind.. All are welcome regardless of ones affiliation, however the emphasis is on motivation and education in regards to exercise and nutrition. Have fun and GOYA!
For all but a few minutes yesterday was about spring renewal and life, from visiting my mother in law to attending my grandson's birthday, to getting my ass kicked on their makeshift soccer field by my 11 year old granddaughter ( who for some reason has gained speed and agility this year while I did not) to yard work and gardening.
It was Mother's Day for my wife, who has to work today , as well.
However , in the middle of a day ripe with the natural celebration of life we also visited my stepdaughter's grave ( more like a daughter), who died in December of a heroine OD. And it doesn't get much more unnatural than that. Confusing day

I am so sad she passed away.

NOT AN EASY WORD
Hope is not an easy word
for grievers
but we, more than most others,
need to understand
what hope can mean for us.
Hope means finding the strength
to live with grief.
Hope means nurturing
with grace
the joy of remembrance.
Hope means embracing
with tenderness and pride
our own life and
the gifts left to us
by those we have lost.
