My wife has a bad back, she works hard and she's a real trooper about her back. She thoght she'd try massage and went to get one today for almost $50.oo. OK.
Here's the thing, when I asked her how she felt she replied :"Sore, but she told me I would be, I thought she did a great job" She's going back next week.
Isn't the massage supposed to CURE the soreness? Otherwise what's the point? WTF?

It really depends on the type of massage. Sometimes "deep" massage does leave you sore but there shouldn't be pain. OMG I LOVE massage...better than sex so you had better watch out!!!! I just have a problem justifying the cost. Including tip its more like $80 out here so I only do it when someone gives me a gift certificate. Most of my girlfriends do regular massage....my hubby doesn't see the point..so I don't know about guys.

I pay $65 for an hour massage. And yes, sometimes I do feel sore afterwards. But that is because he is really digging in there!
Once she goes regularly she won't be as sore.

I love massages, I wish I could afford one every 2 weeks, but I can't.

Oh boy, I fell off a massage table having a massage a few years ago lol. When in full training, I have weekly deep tissue massages from my chinaman down the road. It is sore, not painful, but sore. Twisted muscles that are not getting exercised are teased out and that will produce soreness. It's good sore. They're getting a workout. As onetoomany mentions, it will get less sore with more massages, so pay up sunshine lol.

Yeah DT, depending on the massage its normal to be sore. They re working muscles you don't even know you have. Same thing happened to me.

OK, but it kinda sounds like the asthma med that has a side effect of wheezing! LOL
Oh as far as the "better than sex" thing. I'm not sure she can remember back that far to compare!!!

Am I the only woman who has never had a professional massage? Dang! I want one!!!!!! I can't justify spending that much money though.......

My friend took a group of friends to a spa for the weekend at a winery here in Georgia...that would have been my first massage and bikini wax! lol! She said we could pick 2 treatments...lol!

BUT...it was scheduled for the weekend after my unexpected trip to detox, so I did not get to go. Waaaaa!

DT, maybe you should take classes! haha!
