The only good weight loss is slow and steady. The scales can make you crazy if you don't realize whats going on in your body. If you are exercising and building muscle you could be losing fat but not showing a loss on the scales because muscle weighs more than fat. My advice is to only weigh yourself once a week or even better once a month. A better way to check your progress is a tape measure.
Hang in there and be happy with small changes in your weight.
Are you close to the weight you want to be at and possibly this is why you are not losing so much? Otherwise it's probably just the dreaded "wall" I know it's hard not to get discouraged but keep plugging away and it will come off.
WontQuit lost like 112 lbs in 10 months so I hope he chimes in. I'm curious to see if he had the same experience as me. I'm in the middle of trying to drop another 15 and am already experiencing the wall again.
If you think about it from a bio-physics point of view almost all rapid weight loss must have a heavy fluid component . Remember a pound of fat is 3,500 calories so even if you were on a 1,000 calorie diet the average person would be hard pressed to burn 4,500 calories a day.
But some people keep the pace for months, why can't I?? I know why me pity party. But it's my party and......
Now if this Friday isn't MUCH better, then I will freak out!
Since I reached a certain weight though, they changed me to a 1200 calorie a day menu instead of 1500. So we'll see how it goes this week.
Hang in there tread....it takes time ding dong head!! :)
I am keeping track of the calories, fat, sodium, carbs & sugars in every prepackaged item that I get from them so I can learn to do this on my own too.
