I think infants and probably children unnder 6 or so go straight on but the older one may get distracted by something to stay and try to come back even though they can't come back. Could be !

Well its all theory at this point, we have a lot of guesses as to why folks of any age stick around. Some say unfinished business, severe trauma, or possibly a belief that they are not dead. I would think a child could have suffered severe abuse, physical trauma, or maybe they doesnt know what dead is? I have heard of children seeking their parents... I have no facts to relate, this is just my impression. I do have a very good friend that is certain she shared her apartment with a little girl spirit.

I agree, I think unless someone came to help them cross over( a loved one) how would the young truly understand what has happened. Perhaps as wag said, they don't know they died. Sad any way it goes.

In the few instances in which I have come across children I have always found it abysmally sad that such tender spirits have spent so long away from the spiritual freedom and eternal happiness they deserve.

However, as far as I can determine, time is an unknown to spirits of this type and that is all that makes their existence bearable.

One need not be a relative to send them on into eternity and I believe that it is our God given task to do so.

One every occasion cited above, I have made spontaneous contact with each of the children's spirits (one involved a young brother and sister).

Each time, I was able to explain that they no longer need wait for anyone on this earth (parent, relative, guardian, sometimes worse).

I ask them to pray with me that Jesus Christ is coming to take them home NOW and that they should go to the light where he will be.

Each time our prayer was answered, and all of these children have passed into eternal happiness.

Although I am Christ-oriented, I make it a point of explaining that for children of almost any time in the history of North America (except native American, of course), Jesus is the one personality they most readily understand and are comfortable going to.

In each of these instances I was left with a sense of blessing, profound peace, and gratitude.

For anyone confronted by the spirits of small children locked into some earthbound environment, I believe that sincere pray on your part to God in however He manifests him/her to you will always be efficacious, although it might take some time and effort on your part.

In general, I believe in always liberating earth-bound spirits unless there is agreement between the property owner and the spirits to "share" an amicable existance.

Incredible as it may seem, I've known of more than one instance of this, one very close by to me here in New Mexico.

Hi, This is so interesting to me. As I said in my first post ( I'm New ) I felt and lived with a spirit of either a child or my unborn aborted grand child. I had not seen this previous post but your advice to pray for the spirit to return to God was spot on. If you read my post this was exactly what I did...and indeed it took awhile before my spirit left. Thank you for sharing this. Now I'm convinced more than ever I did the right thing.
