I really have no experience or knowledge of an item cursed or haunted. There is a TV show about that called The Haunted Collector you might watch to get some insight. The leader of the group has a "museum" of haunted items, each with a story.
This is information I have gathered over my lifetime dealing with the more "out there" aspects of life :P Not sure how much stock I put in any one element and I refuse to be a superstitious person but I still do "cleanse" things I get from other places in this way more out of a respect for my heritage. Better to be safe than sorry right?

My second thought was this… many of the hauntings we hear about seem to be residual hauntings, and could the very composition of a building make it more likely to hold an energy? In my old neighborhood sat a very old home, maybe mansion is a better word. It sat empty for years and all of the kids thought it haunted with no real proof, but even adults claimed to see apparitions in the windows etc. During the bicentennial some very ambitious folks set out to document the history of the region and a piece was written about this house for the book they wrote. I will spare you the details except to say that this home was one of the first wired for electricity and one of the very first to have running water to a bath tub and a flushing toilet. This was done by way of diverting rain water to a catchment system using a large lead holding tank (I hope no one drank this water) in the attic. From there lead pipes used gravity to feed the working facilities. I always wondered what made a particular house haunted (residual) and after reading about copper wire, lead tanks and pipes I wondered if this may be a contributing factor? I have also noticed that there are quite a few rumors concerning gold and silver mines, and old mills (water), that seem to hold a lot of energy.
You have been a big help and you have given me much to consider. Thank you again for your time and effort. And to any one asking… Yes, I do over think things at times. ((Big smile))
Also, upon reflection, many experiences I have had have revolved around either metallic and/or electrical (again, metallic) components being involved somehow. Old style cassette tapes are made of magnetic powder (word among experienced PI's is that old-style magnetic recorders attract stronger clearer evp's, and more of them)...the music box that gave me a powerful and clear evp has a great number of metal parts, mostly its inner workings...the psychic who did such an amazing reading on me in 1988 was holding my watch the whole time (he said he preferred to read off of jewelery or watches, as they held more energy)...old black and white photos contained silver...it's all making me think.
But of course, there is also supposed to be a higher possibility of haunted activity in buildings which are made of limestone, or any where near water, and any place where great tragedies have occurred. So, there is no hard and fast rule for what triggers or attracts energy.
Interesting to ponder.
IF you genuinely believe the bracelet is negatively affecting you, you could do what the Haunted Collector does: place it in a dish containing salt (I've heard sea salt is better), and let it "rest", let the energy be drawn away from it awhile. Put it away and forget about it.
Maybe check from time to time to make sure the salt doesn't damage the finish, but basically let it really "cool down" for a long time. Then go back and try wearing it again, allowing it to take on YOUR energy as a replacement.
Good luck, Bunch.
I am seeing a lot of connections between metal and residual hauntings. Still, some could just be coincidental... others may be the cause.... We have some seriously haunted places here and MOST have the turquoise paint (so much for tradition). I guess I should leave this to the professionals, but wouldnt it be fun if we could all sit down with a big pot of tea or coffee and just discuss?
And yes, being able to get together and have a sit-down with other people who've had bonafide experiences WOULD be so very welcome. Absolutely.
As for objects or metals, copper bracelets are supposed to relieve arthritis pain. Any experience with that? As a Christian I'm not supposed to believe in objects for luck or that are cursed. I AM superstitious by nature, however.
