Germaphobes United Mysophobia Support Group Community Group
This is a group for those who suffer from germaphobia (mysophobia , as it is medically called), or fear of germs and being contaminated, can share thoughts and tips with each other without fear of being judged.
I just wondered if any of you have had a similar experience or comment about a couple of things that have happened to me recently and in the past that i feel have contributed to my mysophobia.
Recently my mother has done things that have sent me on edge . I am not trying to attack my mother on this, but it just got me to thinking if some of her actions have contributed to my fussiness. I mentioned recently that she flung a hair at me. That was one thing. The other day, she took a butter knife that had fallen on the floor at my house and drug it across the floor after I asked her to let me look at it before I picked it up. My reasoning was that I needed to check it for contaminants (hairs mainly) that may have gotten on it, and cleaned it separately from my other dishes until I felt that it was clean enough. It bothers me that she wouldn't stop when I asked her to, and that she kept going with it. I'm wondering why she just wouldn't have respected my opinion on the matter , even if she thought i was being ridiculous. If she was trying to help in both of these cases, she did not accomplish anything but to make me stressed out and not trust her. She should have respected my request and let me deal with the situation in my own calm way instead of making things worse.

. I know that type. I bet they all avoid her working in that school... That must be some kind of control issues people Like that have I think. They must want to feel better and think they know more and for reasons? unbeknown to me. Want to lord it over other.. other people.. I think. That could be it. now that you said she has to dictate how everyone does business in the school cafeteria kitchen..
Oh I know that type. In the work place too.. Just plain nasty types if you ask me.. Not pleasant at all to be around.. I have no idea what makes them types that way none at all.. But Lord they are all horrible on my nerves...
