GERD & Heartburn Support Group
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is defined as chronic symptoms or mucosal damage produced by the abnormal reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus. This is commonly due to transient or permanent changes in the barrier between the esophagus and the stomach. If you are afflicted with GERD or heartburn, join the group and find support.

Dianne, it is not offensive at all to ask me about the anxiety and weight loss--I know my anxiety causes me to lose weight. When I get anxious, I can't eat and my metabolism speeds way up because of my nerves shaking. I've been through this so many times, every time I have a terrible spell of nerves, I lose about 10 pounds, then when I feel better again and can eat, I gain it back. I know I lost weight this time because of the anxiety and because of the gastritis, but the doctor wouldn't listen to me. Thank you so much for the encouragement here and on my hemorrhoid post. It really makes me feel better since I trust your expertise in nursing. Thank you!!
Hugs!
