GERD & Heartburn Support Group
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is defined as chronic symptoms or mucosal damage produced by the abnormal reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus. This is commonly due to transient or permanent changes in the barrier between the esophagus and the stomach. If you are afflicted with GERD or heartburn, join the group and find support.
It is hard but it can be done. I have fasted as well when in the past I have had more intense flareups and they are harder to get rid of. Fasting gives the whole area a break from acid so it can heal up. Then you have to eat soft very low acid inducing foods for a month or so and continue to be careful for another 3 months.
It can be healed but it takes a lot of work!
