Hello Everyone,
7 years ago I had a Nissen Fundoplication surgery because the valve between my esophagus and stomach barely closed at all, which led to constant reflux. After experiencing some pain behind my left ribs, as well as one night where I had waves pain below my sternum and around my left side across my back, I had an endoscopy, followed by an abdominal CT w/contrast. The CT was last Wednesday. I have been able to read the radiology report online, but haven't gotten a call from the doctor's office yet. It shows a small 4.2 cm hiatal hernia at the point of fundoplication (slipped Nissen wrap). From everything I have read online, it sounds like I will have to have a revision surgery in order to prevent potential problems -- but of course, Dr. Google is not a real doctor! Has anyone else had a Nissen and experienced the wrap slipping? If so, what was your outcome?

I would like to hear the course of events that lead up to you deciding to proceed with the fundoplication.
Up until you discovered the hernia... was the Nissen a good choice for you?
Do you regret having it done? Or would you do it again if needed?
Again, I really do hope things went OK for you after this. I hope someone that has a similar situation responds to this post to give you some advice. I am new to this group and I hope to send out positivity and learn some things about my new diagnosis. Thank you.
