Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is defined as chronic symptoms or mucosal damage produced by the abnormal reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus. This is commonly due to transient or permanent changes in the barrier between the esophagus and the stomach. If you are afflicted with GERD or heartburn, join the group and find support.
It really helps me if I chew gum - the saliva neutralises the acid.
That is the silent reflux you are having. Keep being careful with the diet and you may need to prop up while you are sleeping. That will help with the sore throat issue.
Make sure you are following all the gerd rules. Stop eating at least 5 hours before bed.
A couple people on the site have mentioned lemon drops? Like Vics sore throat drops but they could give you more symtpoms.. so not sure about it..
