i dont have anxiety. makes a huge difference in healing.
anxiety, stress and ptsd seem to be the number one causes of gerd and gastritis.
just keep working on it. You can get to the point of being symptom free, if you can manage stress and anxiety. That is the hardest part to manage! I notice on the gastritis site anxiety is the common thread for almost everyone. it makes it harder to heal even on a PPI. It can be done it just takes longer.
Dairy does tend to be more of an issue with gastritis not so much with reflux. The stomach often has an issue with dairy. I havent had a flare for a long time now but I used soy milk instead. I would add a bit of Stevia to it but that can annoy the stomach for some. So have it plain if you try it.
