If we pay attention, we would see that there is some wonderful progress being made each day. All across the globe, in countries who have been less accepting, they are moving closer to the human rights for all.

The United States have made a great more progress than ever believed possible. States are adopting marriage acts for same sex couples and the Federal Government has allowed for health care for domestic and or same sex couples.

When we were married in Vermont, Josh and I wrote our own vows. The way I started mine was reflective: Today, we are given this honor by all of the couragous men and woman who came before us. Giving there lives to make a differance. A differance that we are pround to experience in their memories.

That is what we are today, making a differance for the future gays and lesbians. Some who have yet to be born. What a great honor to have this on our shoulders. It is not something that we should take lightly.

You know what, let's get real here how many gay men love the fact that when you chose a relationship to be over, you just move out.

No lawyers, no messy divorce, no spouse support, there is just as much upside as there is downside. And for anyone that doesn't agree call someone you know who just went through a nasty divorce and then let's revisit this topic.

I am very cynical when it comes to this topic because gays have always wanted to have their cake and eat it too.
