Why not? Not all relationships have to end bitterly or because of fights or nasty things happening.

I've ended relationships and remained friends, mostly because the romance between us didn't work.

Some of my exes could never even be friends with anyone, but some I've remained in touch with (no sex though).

Most of my ex's and I have remained friends, with no benefits, of course. One of my best friends was actually one of my ex's, until he died of a meth overdose.

I went through a mutual break up (at least i feel it was mutual i may have cut it off but he was getting to that point) And were tight, it's not alkward. although yeah, we might share a bed when he comes up.

My x and I are the best of friends now. Although I think there have been times when we could have been more than just very, very, very friendly. He actually stays at our place when he is in town. Guess we just got sick of the anger and the verbal warfare, now the only argument we have is...;who is going to buy the next shout".

i guess it takes just meeting the right person. me and my partner have been together almost five years, and i dont think the bond we have has changed since day one. we always consider each other best friends. even when me and my ex broke up, i made sure we stayed friends

I had a short relationship with my friend in Denver and we both agreed after a while that it wasn't going to work. We were both sluts and couldn't get enough of different men. We did have a fight when we split, over money, however, we have since became best of friends. Kinda like being a couple, but without the sex. We are very close.

My ex and I are still friends. We talk over the phone a few times a year. I don't think I can say we are "good friends," but we understand one another well because of what we'd been through together. I think we will gradually stop calling each other, just like my college friends I have not been in touch with since then.

There are bad breakups and divorces, so I feel that it's probably equally likely there are guys who end their relationships and will never talk to each other again.

Both of my ex's treated me cruely and there is no way in hell I would be freinds with them. I did try to be friends with a guy I dated for about 6 months, I really liked him but of course I got the "I just want to be friends" talk and it really hurt, but I wanted him in my life so we did become close friends for 5 years, then I caught him with one of my best friends, they had been screwing around behind my back, I ended the friendships with both of them, wiped them off the map. Life is to short to waste time on losers, I'd rather be lonely then have friends who stab you in the back. I have not had good experiences when it comes to dating and relationships, eveyone seems unwilling to commit because someone better may come along, its really sad.

Earlier in life that would have been hard. The older I get I think the better I am able to choose a relationship.

Now I can't imagine getting involved with someone and having bad tension, which was the norm years ago. Hopefully we would value each other and not have a dramatic break up.
