Gay Men's Challenges Support Group
This community is dedicated to the challenges that gay men face, both between the partners in a relationship and from other influences (family, society, etc.). Find support and talk to others who may be facing the same challenges, and share your experience.
I do however believe that the god described in the bible would not condemn people because the love the same sex. That is not what it is about.
Keep strong in the knowledge that you are right. All the best to you and yours.
Cheers.
Being mostly gay, partly bi and having grown up in church, I have studied the subject extensively. As much as I can not having a college education. I have started a page here on Daily Strength, for bi/gay Christians, and non-Christians that want to know what I believe, and even have discussions about it. I welcome people that believe differently to post their beliefs so we can have a discussion, and maybe we all learn from it.
On behalf of Christians everywhere I apologize for the church goers that act like a horses ass. If you want to see what I believe, and see the times that gay people are mentioned in the Scripture, and how God treated them the same way He treated straight people. No better, no worse, but exactly the same, showing Christians how they should treat gay people. There is a lot of information there, all of my post are rather long, but there is just so much information in the Bible about gay's, that I had to make it long. Here is the link:

I like facebook, but I have two facebook accounts, one for friends who accept me for who I am and another for work/business/family. I don't care what anyone knows about me, but I'm not going to be hassled about it. Facebook allows you to block those who are dead-set on hassling.
Rednecknit, I do understand your anger, I have been both accepted by church-goers, and ridiculed, condemned, and hassled by the "good people". As I said before, on behalf of the real believers, I apologize for those people's actions it is unacceptable.
I have been friends with ImPauIL on this site for a few years, we don't always see eye to eye, but usually we respect each other's position. But, I do not condone what he said, I don't think he meant it the way it came across, but it did come across wrong, and again it's an example of where a Christian seems to attack someone for not believing, and that is not what Jesus taught.
However, I do have to say I do agree with one thing Paul said, in your original post you implied that the Bible isn't true, and that you don't believe in God, I am not going to say you are wrong for your beliefs, I am not going to give you a hard time over them, they are your beliefs and I respect your right to believe that way. I would like a chance to very nicely explain what I believe, but if you want to listen, then you ask me, I'm not going to make you feel I'm pushing it on you. But, I'm getting off topic, you also implied in your statement that you feel (correct me if I'm wrong), that anyone that does believe in God, is wrong, and that we are dumb for believing, and we need to get smart and forget about the God foolishness.
That is what I understood, if I'm wrong please let me know, and please understand I'm not trying to put words in your mouth, that is just what I understood, and I don't mean to make you out to be a bad guy, or lie about what you said, I may have misunderstood if so forgive me, and correct me. But if that is what you said, then are you not judging us also? That question is not to make you mad or attack you, I ask the same question to other church goers all the time.
It's like I know a couple of black people that have been going around making statements that a black person needs to start going around just killing white people randomly because of the police shootings. Because they say all white people are racist, and I ask them if they aren't racist because of their attitude. They say no their not, but white people are and have pushed them to hate white people, but their not racist. I have also attacked white people because they accuse all black people of being criminals, that's not true either, but the white person says their not racist, it's just a fact that black people are criminals, and I have to tell them they are racist, and need to shut up, because they don't know what their talking about.
My point is, we as the human race is never going to have peace of any kind, if white people put 100% of the blame on blacks, and blacks put 100% of the blame on whites, or non-believers say they have done nothing wrong, and are 100% right about God not existing and believers are dumb for thinking God does exist, and believers are attacking non-believers, and saying that they (the believers) are 100% in the right because they are on God's side, and the non-believers are just evil people and don't deserve to be treated with respect, and instead of doing what God said and loving the non-believer, the church says "we can't love you until you believe, so don't ask us to", and then tries to force the non-believer to believe by attacking them and telling them how evil they are, and they deserve to burn in hell, unless they start to believe.
Both sides of every argument between groups of people, (Democrat&Republician, North&South Korea, communist&capitolist, Christian&Muslim) are wrong and right. Both sides need to look at what they are doing, and find where they are wrong, and then look at the other side and forget about what they are doing wrong, and just focus on what is being done right. When the general 6 billion people on the earth realize this, and start treating other's with respect, then we can have peace.
Earlier I commented on what I thought you said, and asked you to correct me if I misunderstood, that wasn't an attack, it was both me trying to find out what you really did mean, and so maybe you could see where you might have an attitude that causes you to misunderstand the actions of some believers, that is if I am right, which I might not be. But, despite me being a believer, and your not, despite our differences in opinion on things, I see no reason why we can't be friends, and agree to disagree. My philosophy is, You have a right to your opinion, I may not agree with it, but I respect it, and if you respect my right to my opinion, then we can be best friends.
